APW - Waltham, Riverside A, 19J, 10S, heavy 14K gold original case with very unusual enameled case in black and carnelian color, rear with Greek style archer in black at center, "Patented Apr. 16 '12" marked inside rear, "Hardy & Hayes Co." marked silvered dial with applied gold numerals, SW-SS, jeweled barrel, circular pattern nickel damascene, s#22280489. Gross weight of assembled watch 34.6 dwt (53.8 g). A magnificent Art Deco case with very attractive classical image to rear.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, winding wheels and regulator with few small bits of oxide, perimeter of smaller winding wheel with parallel fine scratch striations likely from sanding; excellent dial with few mild fine scratches; excellent hands, hour is a demi-HC style with two spades, hour and minute are blue, seconds-hand is plum colored; case shows little wear, small nick or ding to band at 10, chips to bezel's black enamel at upper right around 1:30, smaller chip to bezel's black enamel at lower left at 7, rear enameling virtually fully intact with only few minuscule perimeter nicks or flakes, rear enameling with scattered short scratches and fine scratches; bow pivots freely, crown shows light wear; clean plastic crystal.
